The LSF Fire Resistant Scissors Loft Ladder acts as a blaze block in case of a fire inside the building and prevents the build up of smoke from entering the loft thus providing additional precious time for the fire services to arrive. The Fakro LSF Fire Resistant Scissors Loft Ladder is rated at 60 minutes. The LSF Fire Resistant Scissor Loft Ladders also feature a hatch unloading mechanism which holds the unit in any position guaranteeing a safe folding and unfolding. The Fakro LSF Loft Ladders are manufactured out of metal and have been powder-coated in grey (RAL 7022). The Loft Ladder has an expanding seal which under the influence of high temperatures increases its volume and prevents smoke from entering the fire free storey.

BOX - The Loft Ladder box can be made of wood, metal or a metal framework combined with wooden box. The box is equipped with a peripheral seal and lining as standard. Proper box structure allows for quick setting of the ladder in the ceiling and helps correct levelling.

HARDWARE - The patented corner hinge re-enforces the rigidity of the box and prevents any changes in the diagonal lengths. Thanks to this, the box is not affected by any deformations and can be operated trouble free once installed.

THREADS - The specially embossed pattern on the tread protects the user accidentally slipping when using the ladder

HATCH UNLOADING MECHANISM - Operation of the Loft Ladder is significantly improved because of Fakro's unique unloading mechanism. Once unlocked, the hatch opens slowly without any potential danger to the user. Once fully opened, this mechanism will also hold the hatch in position, preventing it from slamming closed.

HATCH BOARD - The scissors loft ladders are equipped with white insulated or fireproof hatches made of wood or wood and metal. The external hatch surface is smooth without seeing fixing elements which will go well with any interior design.

LADDER - The Scissors Ladder makes it possible to easily adjust the length to the room height without cutting to length. Also it enables folding the ladder to smaller sizes which would be good for installation in smaller ceiling openings (the smallest ladder size 50x70cm). The elegant and modern style of this Scissor Ladder achieved by the S shaped mechanism which also serves as handrails.
